Vessels from the Past
Askos and other forms
Many of these vessels are contemporary interpretations of the Askos—an ancient enclosed clay form typically featuring a spout and a handle. Between 800 and 200 BCE, such containers were used in daily rituals across many civilizations. Animal forms often inspired their design, a tradition that continues to influence my work today.
